- LA NEBLINA NATIONAL PARK

This park covers 1,360,000 hectares, at an altitude between 100 – 3,040 meters above sea level. It is located in the extreme south of Amazonas State.

At the lower we can find Tapirs, Jaguars and great variety species of Primates. Among the many reptiles, the Emerald Boa, The Anaconda and the Green Mapanare stand out. Among the birds we have Black Billed Climber and the Nocturnal Pauji and a huge variety of others bird species.

- DUIDA MARAHUACA NATIONAL PARK

This park is located in the center of the Macizo Guayanés of the central part of Amazons State, between the beds of Iguapo, Padamo and Cunucunuma rivers, with an area of 210,000 hectares, and between 250 to 2,280 meters of altitude.

The Duida and Marahuaca hills (Roraima formation) are Tepuys that hold an important reserve of flora and fauna specimens. The Duida hill reaches a height of 2,880 meters and Marahuaca hill 2,900 meters.

The fauna is varied; we can find Jaguars, Pumas, Tapirs and Primates. There are also an extensive variety of birds.

- PARIMA TAPIRAPECO NATIONAL PARK

This park covers the entirety southeast portion of the State. Located in the Alto Orinoco and Macizo Guayanés. It has an extension of 3,500,000 hectares and an altitude of 100 to 2,500 meters asl. This is Venezuela’s largest national park and the fifth of the world and this park constitute a biosphere reserve and the Yanomamy indigenous area. This park has high plateaus, tepuys and the Delgado Chalbaud hill of the Parima range, where the Orinoco River is born.

- YAPACANA NATIONAL PARK

This national park is located in the plains of Casiquiare, southwest of where the Ventuari and Orinoco rivers meet. It covers an area of 320,000 hectares and has an altitude of 75 to 1,345 meters. The fauna and flora is abundant in this park.
